A SAD STATE OF AFFAIRS
What is happening in Education today:
1. UK Universities are accepting people into uni degrees before they complete their secondary school -irrespective of what their secondary school results are:
2. In Australia " universities are allowing students who have effectively failed Year 12 to become classroom teachers, in a move that has “alarmed” Federal Education Minister Simon Birmingham".
3. American economist believes 80% of our education spend is spent poorly: https://www.acseduonline.com/blog-how-to-reduce-education-costs-192.aspx
For many competitors in education - both public & private institutions; it would appear providing an education service is more of a business and less to do with helping students learn
It's a sad state of affairs.
