ARCHIVES: Sir Christopher White, Bt., Warnborough College
Sir Christopher White, Bt. (1940-2015) was a true educator who spent much of his life teaching and encouraging students to aspire to further study and life-long learning. He was Honorary President of Warnborough House when it was established in Oxford in 1973. At the opening ceremony at Rhodes House he joined the Warden, Sir Edgar Williams (Chief of Intelligence to Field Marshall Montgomery in WW2) and other worthies in their support for the new college. They echoed that Warnborough College would ‘become global in outreach and foster international friendships’. This has been achieved over the last 45 years and continues to do so. Sir Christopher was Visitor to Warnborough College, and he served on its Council. His contributions are valued and appreciated.
