Competency-based Programs & Online Study get the green light

The USA Education Department is now allowing more flexibility for distance learning and competency-based programs given coronavirus. (EducationDive 04.02.2020). Colleges and universities around the world are facing difficult times and many are closing. To survive many are offering Online options so students can continue or complete their studies without loss of time or fees.  ‘Competency-based assessment’ with Advanced Placement (AP) taking into account Recognised Prior Learning (RPL) is now more the norm and has gained even more ‘respectability’ among institutions anxious to survive.

Warnborough College (Ireland) since 1997 has offered Distance Learning options including degree programmes. It has a solid reputation for the quality of its offerings and outcomes. With a global enrolment it has an impressive international alumni association and members boast about their experience and achievements.

Dr Brenden Education Solutions (DBES) has also changed lives. Through formal assessment of ‘competencies’ a student can progress fast towards a qualification, with options to ‘top-up’ as needed.  Dr Brenden through his experience, network  and guidance ensures that needs are successfully met.
