Since its founding in 1973, Warnborough has become a name synonymous with excellence in higher education, through its collective of institutions Warnborough College Oxford, Warnborough College UK, Warnborough College Ireland, and the UK Warnborough Foundation. Warnborough College UK offers a range of educational programmes, both on-site in Canterbury, England, and through distance learning. Warnborough College Ireland specializes in accredited degrees by online mentoring.
1973–1996: Oxford
A concept of Brenden Tempest-Mogg, a graduate research student at the University of Oxford, and his mother Ethyl, Warnborough College, independent from the University of Oxford admitted students from 1973. Its study abroad programmes initially attracted American undergraduate and graduate students seeking an accredited semester or year abroad to enhance their academic journey. From Warnborough Road in North Oxford, the college relocated in 1976 to Boars Hill, overlooking Oxford’s “dreaming spires”. The campus housed the former facilities of Plater College, the Bishop’s palace of the Diocese of Oxford and Yatscombe Hall. Over 200 American colleges and universities accepted Warnborough credits and qualifications.
In 1985, Warnborough College successfully launched the Warnborough Australian Studies Programmes, providing opportunities for students to benefit from university-linked study bases in Sydney and Brisbane, Australia.
That year international students joined a four-year US academic programme held on campus at Boars Hill.
1997–2005: London, Ireland and Canterbury
In 1997, Warnborough University was established in Ireland, under the leadership of Dr Brenden Tempest-Mogg and Dr Kee Guan Ng. Its offices in Ireland and the United Kingdom were later headquartered In Canterbury in 2001. Its ONLINE graduate and undergraduate degree programmes chiefly are focused on liberal arts and professional studies, catering to a global audience.

Campus and Facilities
From 2007, Warnborough College Ireland has operated from offices in Dublin. It is accredited by the International Education Accreditation Council (IEAC) with a prestigious 5-star ranking. Its courses and qualifications are internationally recognized. Warnborough College Ireland, participates in ERASMUS+ projects, and is an active member of the International Vocational Education Training Association (IVETA).
Today, the Warnborough College World Headquarters is based in the university city of Canterbury, Kent, UK.

A Legacy of Achievement
Throughout its proud history, Warnborough has risen to meet challenges and successfully refuted instances of internet invented malicious misinformation. In 2023, the college proudly celebrated its Golden Jubilee of service at Canterbury Cathedral’s International Studies Centre. Fifty years of Warnborough’s significant accomplishments were praised in speeches delivered by dignitaries and alumni.
Additionally, the Warnborough Foundation CIO, a UK charity, was commended for its efforts in providing scholarships and training to local disadvantaged youths, reflecting the institution’s ongoing commitment to quality education and community needs.
